Clarity over complexity
Budgeting falls apart when the tools are overwhelming. Budgeto keeps the signal obvious: what you've got left, and what you've spent this cycle.
Most people don't fail at budgeting because they don't care. They fail because the tools are too fiddly, or totally disconnected from how they really earn and spend. That's the problem Budgeto's here to fix.
Three principles shape pretty much every call we make about the product.
Budgeting falls apart when the tools are overwhelming. Budgeto keeps the signal obvious: what you've got left, and what you've spent this cycle.
Money doesn't always move on a tidy monthly calendar. Budgeto lines up with how you actually get paid, whether that's weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or something in between.
We build Budgeto alongside the people who use it. Your feedback genuinely shapes what we work on and how features ship, and yes, we read every single submission.
Budgeto isn't just an app. It's a different way of thinking about your money.
By putting the focus back on what you've actually got left from your pay, you get a much clearer read on where things stand, and you're far less likely to overspend.
Credit cards, buy-now-pay-later, payday loans, they're all built to keep you in debt. They're banking on you seeing that "Credit Available" number and thinking that's what you can safely spend.
We flip that script and help you stay within your paycheque instead.

Simplicity, first and always. The core of Budgeto is helping you focus on having money leftover from your pay when you get to the next one. The dashboard lets you add income and expenses right away and instantly shows what you've got left - no experience needed. With customisable budget cycles, recurring transactions, historical views and future projections, and a full sweet of both functional and UI settings, Budgeto adapts to you, not the other way around.
Nope. The free version lets you immediately start taking advantage of the Budgeto method, without even giving us a credit card. Right away you can set a budget cycle, add your income and expenses, and see exactly how much you've got left and how much you've spent. We want you to feel the difference Budgeto makes before we ever ask for a cent.
The basics - adding income and expenses, and seeing what you've got left, spent and saved - are completely free. On the web, Budgeto Pro is $59 AUD a year or $6.99 AUD a month, with optional add-ons priced separately. Web prices may be converted by your payment provider. App Store and Google Play prices are set separately by each store and shown before purchase.
Yep! Early adopters get 3 months (90 days) of Pro free when they sign up for a year on the web. Everyone else gets a one-month free trial - cancel anytime before it ends and you're never charged.
Honestly? Barely any effort at all. Sign-up walks you through setting up your budget cycle and recurring transactions, and the interface is simple enough that you can just dive in, even if you've never heard of us until five minutes ago.

For sure. Budgeto handles weekly, fortnightly, monthly, and fully custom cycles, so your budget can match however you actually get paid. We have an article that explains different use cases for everyone, from freelancers and shift workers, to people on fixed income or multiple income streams here: https://budgeto.app/articles/why-first-impressions-matter-with-budget-apps
It does. Set up recurring entries for the predictable stuff once, and Budgeto can drop them in automatically every cycle, no manual re-typing required.
Yep. Budgeto reads file imports like CSV and statement exports, so you can bulk-add your history without any copy-paste tedium.
Not at all. It's built to be simple from day one, with a clean interface focused on the numbers that count: what you've got left and what you've spent.
Pretty painless. Import a CSV or statement export, bring your existing transactions across, and pick up right where you left off, no rebuilding everything from scratch.
Set up your first budget cycle in minutes. Free to start, no card needed.
